A simple yet decadent starter that can be prepared in minutes. Add a handful of greens and this crusty bread sandwich turns into a hearty and colorful lunch!

2 jars of black olive & candied lemon tapenade
Camargue salt
Vegetable olive oil
Pepper
At the market
4 slices of country bread
1 bulb of fennel
1 clove of garlic, peeled
12 slices of raw ham
Parmesan pieces
12 leaves of romaine lettuce
Steps
Toast the bread.
Using a mandolin or knife, slice the fennel bulb.
Rub the garlic clove on the bread, then spread the tapenade.
Cover each slice with ham, fennel and parmesan, then with romaine leaves.
Season with salt and pepper and finish with a drizzle of olive oil. Serve immediately.
